Cambered Riser Stack Spacers

£155.00

As part of our refinement of front-end aerodynamics, we bring you our cambered risers. Designed to optimise the downstream airflow off of your riser stacks.

Individuality has never been more diverse. With critical variables such as, but not limited to, riser stack lateral centres, stack heights and rider body compositions we recommend this product for riders who are willing to conduct their own testing.

Compatible with the Anemoi basebar, mount plates, conversion spacers and mono brackets. The cambered riser stack spacers are manufactured from 6061-T6 alloy and anodised black. They are handed enabling you to test both inwash and outwash configurations to find your optimal setup.

Product Description

The spacers have an interlocking boss to align the stack and a slot down the trailing edge to allow for stack height adjustments without having to worry about re-cabling.

The supplied top pieces match the profile of the adjustable risers and fixed angled risers providing clean cockpit integration. While the supplied base profiles are only needed when used in combination with the Anemoi basebar.

Spacer packs are provided in sets of 18x 5mm spacers and 2x 5mm top pieces = 50mm stack per side + the relevant hardware to suit. Please note if you intend to use a stack greater than 50mm you will need to purchase an additional spacer pack and source the relevant bolts. The specification is M5 CSK A2 stainless (304) steel.

COMPATIBILITY

These risers are exclusively designed for use with WattShop componentry due to their interlocking design. They are compatible only with the Anemoi basebar, mount plates, conversion spacers, or mono brackets. Additionally, only WattShop adjustable risers or fixed angled risers can be mounted onto these risers.

Please consider, if you intend to use these with your existing mount plates or bracket please double check they have the corresponding counterbore that interlocks with the boss on the underside of the spacers.

TEST DATA
Our test data showed large individuality to the sensitivity, however below is the combined dataset for two athletes during one test session, comparing the inwash cambered risers to our standard riser. With weighted average savings across speeds 40/50/60kph and yaw angles of 0-15 degrees of 0.0014-0.0032m^2.

Assuming a standard air density of 1.225kg/m^3 this results in a saving of:
- At 40kph = 1.2-2.7w
- At 50kph = 2.3-5.3w
- At 60kph = 4.0-9.0w

Important test parameters to note. All our testing was carried out with lateral riser stack centres of 105mm and with riser stack heights between 40-50mm.

Where possible we recommend carrying out your own testing. What may work for our test riders may not necessarily transfer across to every individual. Aerodynamics are individual to each athlete.
